PCSchool ‘Spider’ was developed to deliver a very simple, customisable and intuitive front end across a browser interface for Teacher, Caregiver and Student use.

14/11/2013 – Absence Rollmarking. Ability to restrict teachers to ONLY using buttons in rollmarking and disabling the ability to select from the Status drop down list. Available in Spider version 2013.11.14 and above.
14/11/2013 – Hide report alias. A new key has been added to the Spider Configuration File that allows the report alias to be hidden when viewing report options in the Spider. It allows you to hide this information for all users or just caregivers, staff or students. The key is ENABLE_REPORTALIAS_IN_REPORTLAUNCH. Available in Spider version 2013.11.14 and above.
30/10/2013 – Student Info added ability to show / hide student absence and late information from various users. Available in Spider version 2013.10 and above (Post Conference release available end October).

28/10/2013 – Spanned Absences in Back Office now sensitive to adjustments made via Roll Marking in the Spider. Available in Spider version 2013.10 and above (Post Conference release available end October).
26/09/2013 – Subject and Assessment Criteria control now allows for assessment due dates to be added to a subjects areas of assessment (with attachments), these due dates are then populated to the Spider Calendar control. 26/09/2013 – Payment Portal enhanced to allow multiple payment portals (eg one for school fees and one for outside appeals) to have separate optional payments for each portal via changes to the payment.xml file. Available in Spider version 2013.10 and above (Post Conference release available end October).
25/09/2013 – Subject Information available throughout Spider. The ? and i buttons will now be available in any Spider view where subjects are show (such as Result Entry, Student Subjects). This will allows students, caregivers and teachers to easily view the details of any subject including subject description and area of assessment. 18/09/2013 – Email Authentication can be set to use the default setting when sending out bulk emails from Spider (such as Parent Teacher Interviews) but will prompt individual teachers to enter in their personal email authentication details when sending out emails emails to students / caregivers from within Spider. Available in Spider version 2013.10 and above (Post Conference release available end October).
18/09/2013 – Absence Entry control has now been enhanced to enable teachers to view the Student Information control for students in their class by simply clicking on their name in the roll. Available in Spider version 2013.10 and above (Post Conference release available end October).
18/09/2013 – Change password option can now be ‘hidden’ with the use of a new Spider Configuration key of “ENABLE_CHANGEPASSWORD”. Available in Spider version 2013.10 and above (Post Conference release available end October).
30/08/2013 – Subject and Assessment Criteria control enhancement to allow the user to select a teacher first, then select from the subjects they are the Coordinator of to add information. Available in Spider version 2013.10 and above (Post Conference release available end October).

16/04/2012 Room Availability Search – PCSchool has added a new control that allows users to view a ‘Room Timetable’ to see which rooms are available at any given period. (available in Spider Version 2012.04.16.xxx and above)
30/03/2012 Reset Templates – PCSchool now allows user templates for Staff / Students / Caregivers to be reset from the Quick Link Maintenance Control. This means that as new controls are made available to different users the template can be reset so that these new controls will appear when the user next logs into the Spider. 27/03/2012 Behaviour Action Reports – PCSchool now allows for Action reports to be printed from the “Behaviour Notes – ALL COMMENTS control”. (available in Spider Version 2012.03.27.xxx and above)
